    Frequently Asked Questions

The RAC has no shelter or physical location. We work directly in the communities, promoting the dissemination of our work through social networks and other digital tools. The animals rescued from the RAC are waiting to be adopted in pensions or temporary homes.

The Canine Support Network establishes its contacts through institutional emails or social networks. The only phone number available is the one for post-operative care of sterilizations, being EXCLUSIVE for this purpose and where no other concerns are addressed.

We have three geographical axes where we act with greater force; the cities of Caracas, Maracaibo and Cúmana. However, our mass sterilization campaigns have reached more than 200 communities, towns, cities and neighborhoods, all over Venezuela.

The Canine Support Network is an independent and autonomous non-profit NGO. Throughout our history, we have made numerous alliances with various public institutions and likewise with private companies to promote and enhance our work for animals.

    1. The first thing you must do, even if it seems absurd in the midst of the urgency, is to record the situation in the best possible way. Make videos, take photos, collect testimonies, this will help to better disseminate the case and consequently you could get more resources to solve it.
    2. Once you have assessed the level of urgency, think about whether your circle or network of family, neighborhood or friend supporters could provide some support to take on the case in a collaborative manner, easing the burden.
    3. If you consider that the situation deserves help from third parties, contact animal protection organizations. The RAC in the measure of its possibilities will be able to provide veterinary attention, offer sterilization and contribute to the diffusion of the case. RAC does not have the resources to receive all the cases reported to us, but we can always provide accompaniment and advice as a rescuer.

Since we do not have a physical location, RAC does not have an office, although we do channel and offer certain types of veterinary care with our veterinarians.

Of course we can. Organized communities are a fundamental ally in improving the quality of life of abandoned animals. Get to know here the first steps you should take to organize a sterilization day in your community

The RAC seeks to implement a model of financial self-sustainability in its mass sterilization program. The minimum collaboration that we ask for is currently 75% subsidized by our organization and does not always cover all operational costs or necessary supplies. Similarly, through our Sterilization Fund, we provide completely free sterilizations that have historically represented around 40% of our surgeries throughout Venezuela.

No. Our name is tied to a case involving a group of severely abused canines. At that moment our founding members, without knowing each other, only guided by the need, the will to help and take action, wove a NETWORK OF SUPPORT that derived in what today is the RAC. Since its foundation, the Canine Support Network has provided attention to cats, being another species that suffers widely from abandonment, mistreatment, and uncontrolled proliferation. We always raise our voice against any form of animal abuse and in our history we have exceptional cases of wildlife.
